Staff Tour

National Music Centre

Our Midwest office staff recently had the opportunity to attend a site tour of the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta. It was a new experience for many of our staff and an excellent opportunity to see the product of their labors. Some highlights from the tour included the opportunity to see some of the more challenging pieces that we worked on such as the enormadome, compound curved exterior walls surrounding the plus 60 walkway and the 6-storey vessel walls in the atrium. We took many photos of our progress including a group shot capturing everyone’s excitement for the success of this project.

Midwest has been working alongside CANA Construction on this project and would like to say thank you for allowing us this opportunity to hold this tour. The dynamic synergy of CANA and the Midwest team has proven to be highly effective. This expert collaboration has provided the framework for the intricate and unique design of the National Music Centre to be built with a high level of precision. Midwest is proud to have worked alongside CANA to deliver technically competent and cost-effective solutions for the National Music Centre project.

Midwest has been working on the National Music Centre since September 2014. The project is expected to be completed by the end of March to be open for the Juno Awards on April 3rd.
