Habitat for Humanity

We recently participated in a Habitat for Humanity Build Day as part of our corporate social responsibility initiative, Midwest Gives Back. Habitat for Humanity creates affordable housing options to provide families with the chance to improve their quality of life. They have built over 184 homes across Southern Alberta since 1990, which has positively impacted the lives of more than 250 families.

On June 9^th, ten Midwest volunteers assisted in the construction of two five-plexes in the Calgary community of Bowness. Our team installed drywall, dug fence posts, installed back framing, and built a deck skirt, among other tasks. With high energy and a positive attitude, we made some excellent progress on the construction of the homes during our short shift.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, we are pleased to say that we raised over $5000 for this worthwhile cause. Funds raised will contribute towards the continued success for Habitat.

We would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for providing us with the opportunity to give back to the Calgary community. We can’t wait for our next Build Day!
